Whirlpool Corporation is in talks to sell a subsidiary in Brazil, which makes cable harnesses and automotive products, to Solartech International.
A statement from Solartech Chairman and Managing Director Chau Lai Him said discussions are underway but no agreement has been reached, and it emphasized that the acquisition may or may not proceed.
Solartech International Holdings Limited is incorporated in Bermuda and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The company's primary business is in manufacturing cables and wires, copper rods and connectors and terminals.
