China-based consumer electronics retailer Gome Electrical Appliances Holding Ltd. reported that gross profit in 2005 increased 2.7 percent.
The retailer said its goal is to expand up to 15 percent by 2008. In 2006, Gome plans to add 120 to 150 new stores in China, according to Reuters. At the end of last year, the retailer had 259 stores.
Gome reported net profit was 499 million yuan (approx. U.S. $62.17 million) for the year ended Dec. 31, 2005.
