Salton Introduces 130 Products at IHA Mar 22, 2006

Electric housewares maker Salton, Inc. said it introduced 130 new products across all of its brands at the International Housewares Show (IHA), held March 12-14 in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.

According to the company, one of the highlights of the show included the George Foreman(R) G-BROIL(TM) grill, which incorporates a locking hinge that turns the contact grill into a grill/broiling machine. Others included the Foreman S525S Super Searing Grill, which super-sears the food to enhance flavor and appearance, and the Foreman Brainstorm(TM) Turbo Blender, a "smart" blender that incorporates fuzzy logic to determine the time, direction and speed required for ideal results.

Other key introductions included the Westinghouse(TM) brand Thermocolor(TM) iron, with a water tank that changes color with the temperature of the soleplate to let the user know when the iron is at the correct temperature. The Richard Simmons "Steam Heat" Food Steamer features three horizontal compartments that can be individually programmed to have three different foods finished cooking and ready to serve at the same time. The Toastmaster(R) brand Inside Out toaster oven broiler has a patented, removable liner for easy cleaning.
