Appliances engineered the Ascenta to be a superior alternative to an
all-plastic tub dishwasher. The tub is stainless steel with a
reinforced polypropylene base that is engineered to be more durable,
food proof, and colorfast compared with a plastic tub. Sound reduction
technology includes a new drain pump that reduces noise when water
drains from the machine. The detergent and rinse aid dispenser was
redesigned and repositioned to optimize their release, with the added
benefit of reducing water spray from hitting the unit’s inner door to
help further reduce noise.
