Robotic Bending Cell
November 2008

 Email this Article

Capable of robotized bending as well as stand-alone operation, the robotic bending cell RoboCell offers mid-level automation. It combines the firm’s PPEB or Easy-Form series CNC press brake with a multiaxis Kuka robot to efficiently handle small- to medium-sized components in capacities from 80 to 110 ton bending force and 2.5 or 3.0 m table configurations. The unit increases machine throughput by automatically loading, forming, and stacking finished parts in an unmanned process, providing high-precision parts, shorter cycle times, and lower production costs. All functions of the RoboCell robot and press brake are controlled through instructions from an integrated off-line programming software solution. LVD Strippit, www.lvdgroup.com
