Self-Clinching Nut
September 2008

 Email this Article

Designed for limited-space applications, the PEM Type SMPS self-clinching nut can be permanently mounted in metal sheets as thin as 0.025 in. (0.64 mm) while keeping the distances between the edge of the sheet and the center of a fastener as close as 0.145 in. (3.7 mm). Its low-profile design—0.220 in. (5.6 mm) in diam and 0.065 in. (1.4 mm) in height—makes it suited for applications where space for attachment hardware is limited. Made from 300-series stainless steel and RoHS compliant, the nut provides strong and reusable threads. A single mating screw completes the assembly.
