The user interface on new 7.85T and 7.55T model treadmills from Paramount Fitness Corp. (Los Angeles, CA, U.S.) includes a backlit console from TouchSensor Technologies, a numeric keypad, heart rate monitor, exercise data tracking software, and a 5.6-in. VGA LCD training program display. A flash programmable USB port allows for software updates.

The treadmill’s structural components include a frame of 11-gauge welded steel, electrocoated for corrosion protection. The units are driven with a 3-hp, continuous-duty, three-phase ac motor that exceeds 6 hp peak. The standard treadmill deck is designed to be an industry-leading 1-in. thick, reversible deck with a phenolic wear surface. A Forbo/Siegling prelubricated, two-ply polyester running belt requires no wax or silicone and features an overlap splice and urethane-coated top surface.

The firm offers a wireless entertainment option that features an integrated 900 MHz wireless receiver that provides audio from any ceiling- or wall-mounted TV monitor equipped with an appropriate wireless transmitter. www.paramountfitness.com
