An easy-to-use infrared thermometer allows users to take a reading in less than a second. The unit reads both Fahrenheit and Celsius off any surface, including solids, semisolids, and liquids. Noninvasive, no-touch measurements make the traceable thermometer suited for food preparation, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, petroleum products, cleanrooms, electronics, and field use. It features a temperature range of –76° to 932°F (–60° to 500°C), resolution of 0.1°, and accuracy of ±1°C +2%. To assure accuracy, an individually serial-numbered traceable certificate is provided from the company’s ISO 17025 calibration laboratory accredited by A2LA. The dual display shows current temperature plus one of the following eight modes: emissivity value, maximum memory, minimum memory, differential, average (time weighted), high-temperature alarm, low-temperature alarm, and probe temperature. Its min/max feature permits viewing highest and lowest readings at any time. The thermometer displays the average of all readings made and the difference between two readings. The device measures 7 × 2¾ × 1½ in. and weighs 6 oz. Control Co., www.control3.com
