Brass Compression Limiter

A company has redesigned its Series CL101 and CL111 brass compression limiter line to significantly reduce cost. Introduced in the 1990s when companies started converting many metal assemblies to plastic, the original brass compression limiter line was designed with a thick wall to prevent the plastic from cracking as a result of the expected clamp load generated by the tightening of the bolts. With reduced wall thickness, the new compression limiters cost less and still meet the majority of the application requirements. In addition to the Series CL101 and CL111, the company’s line of compression limiters includes the Series CL200 and CL250 (split seam) and Series CL500 and CL550 (molded-in) designs.
