TGR synthesized radio-frequency (RF) generators are economical, easy-to-use, and versatile signal sources designed specifically for a wide range of test, service, and development applications. With flexible modulation capabilities, the generators offer high-frequency accuracy and stability, wide dynamic range, and low phase noise and leakage, making them suitable for most tasks up to 1–2 GHz. TGR2050 covers 150 kHz to 2 GHz in 10-Hz steps, and incorporates AM, FM, and phase modulation capabilities. TGR1040 covers 10 MHz to 1 GHz in 1-KHz steps, and incorporates FM modulation only (internal and external). Both TGR1040 and TGR2050 can be conveniently operated using numeric or rotary controls, with nine memory settings for user setups, but can also be remotely controlled via a standard GPIB or serial interface. TGR RF generators set a new price standard for high-performance RF test sources. Frequency steps can be set to any value (to 1 kHz for TGS1040 and 10 Hz for TGS2050), and up- and down-stepping make precise amplitude response measurements particularly easy. The backlit four-line LCD shows all major signal parameters simultaneously. Signal output can be stepped from 0.1 µV to 500 mV into 50 Ω with 0.01- µV resolution for evaluating circuit linearity and dynamic range.
