Flexible Latex Rubber Tubing
February 2008
 Printable format
 Email this Article

Natural latex rubber tubing is suited for applications requiring repeated flexing and stretching. Latex’s flexibility and resiliency allow it to maintain memory after repeated elongation, distortion, and pulsation. The Newtex tubing also withstands repeated sterilization with steam, EtO, or gamma radiation. There are no added plasticizers, coagulants, or fillers to migrate and contaminate the stream or cause tube hardening. The tubing remains flexible even at cold temperatures approaching –60°F (–51°C). All ingredients are nontoxic and conform to FDA standards. Synthetic latex, or polyisoprene, tubing is offered as a custom item. It is made without the allergen-causing protein found in natural latex.
