Press force modules have integrated force and displacement sensors. The company’s line of precision electromechanical servo assembly press modules, designated APM standard and APMH compact, provide the precision, reliability, and control required for high-quality assembly operations. The press parameters are monitored and controlled through the company’s SAM 300 signature analysis module. Suitable for push or pull operation, the precision electromechanical presses cover a range of force from 1 to 400 kN (225 to 90,000 lbf), with strokes from 130 to 400 mm (5.1 to 15.75 in.). The press force modules feature either a strain gauge or piezo-type force sensor in combination with an absolute optical encoder that requires no homing routine as the displacement sensor.
