The company’s family of energy-metering integrated circuits (ICs) incorporates all of the core circuitry necessary to implement a complete meter system without requiring any other active components. The STPM1x family, measuring active energy as pulse frequency output and featuring fast digital calibration, provides electronic meter manufacturers with a complete, cost-effective series of power-metering chips specifically designed for low-end applications. Fully compliant with specifications for single-phase, class 0.5 static meters, the family of ICs provides fast and easy digital calibration at only one point over the entire current range to allow a significant reduction in manufacturing costs when compared with hardware calibration made using a resistor network.
