Screws for Thin Sheet Metal
September 2007
 Printable format
 Email this Article

Grip-Lite screws are designed for thin sheet-metal applications, where they provide tight assembly with increased strip-out torque to improve joint strength. A radiused point adds safety by eliminating the sharp point that can cause injury and cut wire insulation. It also prevents the screw from drilling its own hole if the assembly is misaligned. The screws are designed to lower assembly cost by eliminating the need for expensive nuts, clips, inserts, or tapping operations. The screws are available in standard head styles in diameters from #6 through 5⁄16 in.
