Sabaf’s Research and Development department, spurred on by the engineering and design challenges experienced with the previous burner ranges (Series I and Series II) has now come up with the development of a generation of new leading edge technology burners, the Series III range.
Attention principally concentrated on the three main factors that, both individually and collectively speaking, final users hold to be of primary importance: burner performance, design and environmental impact.
The design principles of the new burner range primarily focus on optimizing consumption and maximizing reduction of environmental emission hazards.
The current Sabaf burners provide for an average efficiency (meant as the actual calorific value of the gas being burned) amounting to 55 percent, with carbon monoxide emission values according to the standard regulation requirements.
Devised for increased efficiency granting unit using-time reductions, the new Series III burners consequently provide for major reductions of polluting substance emissions.
The Sabaf laboratory tests have resulted in efficiency values amounting to 66 percent, with an increase of more than 18 percent compared to current average values.
This means that boiling 10 liters of water will require less time and gas consumption, with a significant reduction of polluting substances.
Nevertheless, Sabaf has obviously also endeavored to improve other features to the benefit of immediate final user impact.
Burner power has increased (+15 percent to 20 percent) on the same overall burner diameter. The minimum and maximum power ratio for each single burner has also been increased, providing major use flexibility.
Another important product innovation is the new burner fix-on system that significantly simplifies burner maintenance and cleaning. The burner cap and head can be firmly fixed to the cooktop by a manual operation—pressing and turning the cap—without using any tools. Thanks to their rounded-off shape, these burners enable quick and easy continuous cleaning as a ceramic cooktop.
This new burner family also includes a dual stacked flame burner, an innovative burner with two rows of flame. A main (upper) flame for all-purpose cooking and a simmer (lower) flame for foods requiring low simmer heats providing precision control over any cooking and extreme flexibility in terms of output.
Foster and Lofra, two of the major Italian kitchen producers, have chosen for their kitchens the Sabaf Series III burners.
