The company is releasing Heyco-TITE a family of straight-through liquid-tight cord grips for flexible wire cables and cords in electrical enclosures of any kind, including NPT, metric and PG threads in straight-through, pigtail and right-angle configurations.
The family of cord grips provides a strong, long-lasting, easy-to-apply strain relief that connects flexible cables and cords of varying diameters for industrial equipment, electrical motor housings, indoor and outdoor lighting, electrical pumps, and medical equipment.
The cord grips’ smooth, rounded interior surfaces allow cords and cables of varying diameters to insert easily without binding or scraping of insulation. They are designed to facilitate safe, secure, liquid-tight seals throughout virtually any electrical housing or panel.
Acme threads utilized in all the cord grips promote fast assembly and prevent slipping of cords or liquid penetration. A ratchet design to the sealing nut provides a strong grip that is resistant to vibration, while an integral sealing ring assures lasting liquid-tight seal at the mounting location.
The cord grips are molded of high-impact Type 6/6 polyamide nylon with “Buna N” sealing glands, designed to be resistant to salt water, weak acids, gasoline, alcohol, oil, grease, and most common solvents. The cord grips are available in black or gray; white or custom colors may be specified. All are UL listed, CSA certified, and have an IP rating of 68 per DIN 40050 up to 70-psi water pressure, as well as a flammability rating of 94V-2. Heyco Products Inc., www.heyco.com
