Panasonic, located in Secaucus, New Jersey, U.S., released the Vortex™ Wet-Dry Shaver with the Pro-Curve® Linear Pivot Action Shaving. The unit’s pivoting head rocks both up and back and forth to follow the contours of the user’s face, and its proprietary linear motor provides a 13,000-rpm output to the blades. The shaver features a triple-blade shaving head, with a center-slit blade to cut long and stray hairs while foils on both sides cut closer. The unit’s HydraClean™ system automatically charges, cleans and dries the shaver. The unit fully charges within an hour, and a quick charge feature supplies enough power for one shave in just 5 minutes. A three-stage battery monitor indicates how much charge is remaining. To clean and charge the shaver, the unit is placed in a convenient docking station. Long-lasting cleaning cartridges provided are designed to keep the blades fresh and ready to go. An indicator light on the docking station glows when a new cleaning cartridge is required.
Unlike other cleaning systems this unit does not use an alcohol-based solution. Instead, the system utilizes a water-activated detergent, said to be gentle on the skin and portable. www.panasonic.com
