Tight Assembly Screws for Thin Sheet Metal
August 2006

Grip-Liteā„¢ screws are designed specifically for thin sheet metal applications and are said to provide tight assembly with increased strip-out torque, improving joint strength. A radius point adds safety by eliminating the sharp point that can cause injury and cut wire insulation. It also prevents the screw from drilling its own hole if the assembly is misaligned. The screws may lower assembly cost by eliminating the need for expensive nuts, clips, inserts, or tapping operations. The screws are available in standard head styles in diameters from #6 through 5/16. Leland-Powell Fasteners, Inc., part of Elgin Fastener Group, www.lelandpowell.com
