The company says its Dev-Thane 5 urethane adhesive is designed for primerless bonding of rubber or metal to glass, concrete or wood. The adhesive is said to be excellent for bonding EPS to foam, foam to ABS and aluminum to aluminum. The product cures at room temperature to a tough and flexible bond. When mixed, the two-part adhesive becomes a thixotropic paste with a pot life of 5 minutes. A single pound covers 94 square inches at a thickness of 1/4 inch. The 100-percent solids formulation produces no volatile organic comound emissions. Fixture time is 15 minutes, and functional cure is 3 hours. When cured, the adhesive has a tensile strength of 2,100 psi and withstands service temperatures up to 180°F (82°C) dry and 120°F (49°C) wet. Devcon
