Two new features, Ethernet and USB, have been introduced on the company’s power analyzer, the Model WT3000. The analyzer is said to provide high measurement accuracy for demanding applications such as product efficiency testing, engineering and research and development work on inverters, motor drives and lighting systems. The Ethernet and USB functions provide enhanced communication capability with PCs, network systems and various peripheral devices. The Ethernet function conforms to 100BASE-TX and 10BASE-T. Measurement data can be stored in either binary or ASCII format on a peripheral device such as a USB memory stick. The WT3000 reportedly provides accuracy of 0.02 percent of the reading, and a bandwidth of DC, 0.1 Hz to 1 MHz. The data update rate can be set from as fast as 50 ms, 20 readings per second, to as slow as one reading every 20 seconds. Yokogawa Corporation of America, www.yokogawa.com/us
