GS Series high-strength tape is designed to offer significant advantages in assembly, packaging and other manufacturing industries. The free-film tape is formulated to provide instant, aggressive tack and peel adhesion along with superior shear strength. The bond formed by the tape is said to be so strong that it can replace many mechanical fasteners, yet is flexible enough to provide gap filling properties and serve as a sealant to prevent moisture buildup.
This rubber-based adhesive tape is available in thicknesses of 5 mils to 50 mils. It offers immediate bonding with high peel and tack. It is suitable for difficult-to-adhere-to substrates, bonding and mounting to irregular surfaces and assembly applications. The tape is ideal for use with metal, wood, polyethylene, polypropylene, glass, paper, rigid composites, hook-and-loop fasteners, extruded polymers, and other substrates.
All standard GS Series tapes utilize a number 60 SCK liner with ungummed edges for easy handling and quick liner removal. Double liners and clear PET liners are available for custom orders. The adhesive strips can also be customized, with widths ranging from 1/4-inch to 11-1/2 inches and liner widths from 1 inch to 12 inches. The supplier also offers the GS Series in double strips on a single liner for added project flexibility. MACtac® Technical Products, www.mactac.com
