Slotted brushless DC motors incorporate internal Hall sensor feedback for linear speed-torque characteristics, high starting torque and variable speed control (with appropriate control electronics). Their 6-slot lamination design is said to contribute to high power, fast acceleration, consistent operation, and long service life.
These motors are said to be ideal for applications such as data storage, medical/biotech, semiconductor processing, automation, and others requiring high performance and reliability.
The motors are 2.3 inches in diameter and available in four standard stack lengths: 1/2 inch, 1 inch, 1-1/2 inches, and 2 inches. They feature high-energy neodymium iron boron magnets for optimized performance. Speeds up to 8,000 rpm and continuous torque up to 49 ounces-inch (75 ounces-inch with heat sink) can be achieved.
The motor’s mounting configuration is consistent with NEMA 23 standards.
