The E73 is a microprocessor-operated temperature control developed specifically for no-frost freezer applications with a remote evaporator, air circulating fan and heater-assisted defrost. The control’s unique adaptive defrost software is said to significantly reduce energy consumption by intelligent control of the fan and by adapting to changing ice conditions. In a standard execution, the control integrates the thermostat function, adaptive defrost timer, operating lamp, fast-freeze selector/indicator, and a temperature alarm lamp into a single, compact control. The integration of these functions is designed to reduce assembly and test time and result in OEM cost savings. An on-board EEPROM for parameter storage enables settings and parameters to be changed during the manufacturing processes, using Invensys' SETT software.
