The company’s FSUSB23 is said to be the smallest single-port USB 2.0 high-speed (480 Mbps) analog switch in a MicroPak chip scale package. The compact packaging, combined with low power consumption (less than 1 uA) and wide bandwidth (more than 720 MHz) operation is said to make the switch an ideal high-performance, space-saving switch for multi-functional cell phones. The 1.6 by 2.1-mm MicroPak 10-terminal chip scale package delivers a 68-percent footprint reduction compared to typical competitive switches. Additional applications for the analog switch include personal digital assistants, MP3 players, digital cameras, and laptops. The unit’s ability to switch signals allows it to pass the eye diagram compliance for AC and DC performance to meet the USB 2.0 high-speed standard. The switch also retains complete USB 1.1 full-speed (12 Mbps) reverse compatibility for use in a range of applications.
