A brochure from GLS Corporation presents designers of medical products with new, innovative material options as alternatives to standard elastomers in the medical industry. Versaflex® CL2200 TPE alloys, with water clarity and enhanced heat resistance in a single family, are offered as a material alternative PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and silicone for clear, higher performance elastomeric applications. The company says the TPE alloys offer good bite and tear resistance, have the ability to withstand sterilization, and make the TPE suited for many medical applications. TPE samples are included with the brochure.
