“Clamp-Only Remanufacturing” is described in single-sheet, four-color literature from EPCO Machinery, LLC. This service is said to provide a cost-effective solution to buying new plastics equipment when the clamp is the only part needing rework. The company’s clamp-only remanufacturing is said to make toggle clamp assemblies as good as new, often better than the original. The remanufacturing includes replacing all link pins and bushings and reboring bushing holes not within OEM standards. The entire lubrication assembly is cleaned, and defective parts are repaired or replaced. Platen surfaces are ground flat and parallel and defective platen holes are welded up, redrilled, and retapped.
