In response to UL’s humidity-conditioning requirements for commercial electric cooking appliances, the company has updated its end seals for standard heating elements to ensure the elements are recognized under the UL® 499 standard and comply with the UL® 1030 resistance to moisture test. With approved end seals, the required conditioning process does not need to be performed on existing Watrod, Firebar, and Multicoil heating elements because the elements are recognized under UL 499 and comply with UL 1030 resistance to moisture test.
