The Kyocera 7135 smartphone is designed to combine phone, computer, and entertainment functions into a single device. The unit includes an MP3 player designed to provide CD-quality stereo sound. The media player shows images in jpg, bmp, tif, and png formats and shows video in mov, avi, aud, and wmf formats. The unit is equipped with a large, bright, 65,000-color display.

The smartphone has a Motorola Dragonball™ VZ33MHz CPU and 16 MB of onboard RAM. An MMC/SD expansion card slot allows the user to add memory, software, games, and accessories to the unit. MMC (Multi Media Card) and SD (Secure Digital) are two industry standards flash memory cards, weighing about two grams each.

The operating system is Palm OS ®4.1 software, designed to provide all the features of a Palm OS handheld PDA in a phone. CDMA2000 1X technology allows the unit to download data at speeds up to 153 Kbps. Web access 3G technology is designed to download the Internet up to 10 times faster than other phones.
