The company is introducing two sizes of worm reducers, sizes 818 and 821 (1.75-in and 2.06-in center distances). The reducers reportedly offer greater selection of flexibility when converting the new and existing equipment to washdown duty or stainless-steel. The 300 Series offers die-cast stainless-steel housing for the input flange and output cover to withstand extreme environments and allows for a rust-free life. The o-ring seal on the face of the input motor flange is said to provide a seal against moisture intrusion, and seals on the input and output covers eliminate gaskets, sealants, and leaks. The company says a viton double-lip shaft helps to seal for resistance to chemicals common in washdown applications. The stainless-steel hardware, including the square head pipe, plugs to eliminate entrapment in plug locations. LEESON Electric
