Micro-Tex™ is a surface finishing technology for aluminum sheet, which is said to give a dimensional appearance of brushed or matte bead blasted exotic metals like stainless steel, titanium, and copper. The company also offers proprietary OCP™ metallic coatings that are applied to aluminum sheet to replicate the hue of exotic metals. The coatings are said to make the substrate impervious to fingerprinting. According to the company, the surface finishes currently appear on appliances to fulfill the desire of consumers for non-traditional color at an affordable price point. Copper, titanium, and matte aluminum will be available soon, as well as a broad palette of metallic finishes for the kitchen and laundry applications.
