The company says its Environmental Monitoring and Control (EMC) temperature sensors help space and system accuracy challenges by utilizing proprietary Anti-Parallel Diodes and Ideality Configuration technology. The company says the Anti-Parallel Diodes maximize thermal coverage while minimizing device pin count from 10 to eight pins—a 20-percent reduction. This reportedly helps with thermal- and space-challenged designs because it offers thermal monitoring of two temperature zones on two pins.
The Ideality Configuration feature allows the sensors to compensate for the variance in substrate and discrete diode ideality factors over the entire temperature range.
