The company says its TORKDISC® Rotary Torque Sensor System is designed for dynamometer and other torque measurement applications that require a robust rotary torque transducer where axial space is limited. According to the company, the transducer is an electronic module that converts torque signals into a high-speed digital representation. The data is transmitted to a non-contacting pick-up look without risk of noise or data corruption.

A remote receiver unit converts the data to an analog output voltage, frequency output, and a serial digital output. The company says the sensor features high stiffness and low sensitivity to axial and thrust bending. PCB Piezotronics
