Emerson Climate Technologies will be exhibiting its next generation of Comfort Alert™ Diagnostics (pictured), which is said to allow contractors to improve diagnostic troubleshooting accuracy and speed of service by using the compressor as a sensor. It provides advanced communication with integrated electronics to improve system reliability and operation. According to the company, the new and improved Comfort Alert builds on the first-to-market technology of the original. New features include built-in communication capabilities, expanded troubleshooting capability, and active load control of the two-stage Copeland Scroll UltraTech compressor. Built-in communication to White-Rodgers 1F95CA thermostat protects the compressor when serious faults occur, avoiding damage.
Other products that will be exhibited included Emerson’s next-generation Copeland Scroll compressor for 13 SEER, the Commander SK variable-speed drive, and System Design Simulator Software, which predicts the steady-state heating and cooling performance of vapor compression systems.
