Thickness Gauge

The CGX-S/2 gauge is used to measure the film thickness of paint or powder coating on aluminum or steel over a large surface. The gauge enables users to scan a designated area and transmit high and low readings directly to a PC. With the unit's calibration feature, it is reportedly possible to accurately measure coatings over pretreated substrates. According to the company, without this capability, the ability to accurately track varying coating thickness is compromised. Expanded microprocessor capacity permits a time and date stamp to be provided with each reading, which the company says is essential to a completely functional SPC program. The gauges combine both eddy current and magnetic induction measurement principles.
