The company says its cord sets now meet Chinese and Australian standards. The company’s Chinese 10-A power cord (pictured) part number 86517050 comes with the molded Chinese plug and 2.5 m of 3- by 1-mm2 international cable. The Chinese 10-A cord set part number 86517040 comes with the molded Chinese plug, 2.5 m of 3- by 1-mm2 international cable, and an IEC 60320 C13 connector. Both the power cord and cord set come with the newly required China Compulsory Certification (CCC) mark for export to china. The company’s Australian 10-A power cords and cord sets come with partially insulated pins, said to help minimize safety hazards. The pins meet the Australian/New Zealand standard AS/NZS 3112:2000 fifth edition that will go into effect in April 2005. The company says the new pins will be its standard and hospital-grade plugs, which have been rated up to 10 A with service at 230 V a.c. with the Department of Fair Trading approval. Custom lengths and special packaging options are available, and free evaluation samples are available upon request. Interpower Corporation (formerly Panel Components Corporation)
