Specifically developed for extended life in boiling liquids, the new VCS-07/VCS-08 vertical compact liquid level sensors feature a Kynar housing and polyphenylene float to handle temperatures up to 110°C. The sensors, said to be ideal for potable water applications in drink dispensing/vending equipment and also hot water in HVAC systems, is 59 mm with a float diameter of 22 mm. Providing UL-listed reed switch repeatability and reliability and capable of sensing level rise or fall by 180-degree rotation of the float, the sensors have maximum switching of 100 V d.c., 250 V rms, 15 W, and a minimum SG of 0.85. The sensors are available with a series of interface units for a.c. and d.c. high-power and turbulence-suppression functions.
