Kingbright enhanced its SMD LED display technology by developing a 0.4-in character height SMD Alphanumeric Display. The product is available in a single-digit, APPSA series, and dual-digit package, with a wide range of color, including white and blue. The flat soldering pad design with an inner connection eliminates the need for leads, which allows for easier mounting on PC boards. The series can be operated under a current as low as 2 mA, and meets industrial temperature ratings of -40ºC to +85ºC.

The Kingbright Alphanumeric SMD LED Display features high contrast and light output with outer material that is mechanically rugged. At a thickness as thin as 0.148-in, the series is ideally suitable for compact hand-held devices that require alphanumeric display capabilities and brilliant character appearance.
