Sharp Electronics Corporation presents its line of upright vacuum cleaners, which the company says can clean any flooring surface with equal efficiency, high performance, and power.

The company says this product line is substantially lighter and quieter than comparable vacuum cleaners, ensuring that consumers can clean their floors with relative ease.

"We've noticed a growing trend toward homeowners increasing hard floor surfaces in their homes. These upright vacuum cleaners have been designed to function effectively on both wood floors and plush carpets," says Kevin Procter, vice president of Appliance Marketing for Sharp Electronics Corporation. "In addition, Sharp's cyclonic bagless vacuums are easy-to-use, lightweight, and incorporate a unique high-tech, high-style design that consumers will appreciate."

Thanks to two suction ports located at the vacuum's base, the EC-T5180A's suction power is optimized for tough cleaning jobs. In addition, the EC-T5180A utilizes a Twin Energyª fan motor that reportedly provides even greater suction to lift out embedded dirt and debris. The product's cyclonic technology then compresses the captured dirt into a removable canister that reportedly can be easily detached and cleaned, eliminating vacuum bag changes. The EC-T5180A model features a true HEPA filter that captures up to 99.97 percent of all particles as small as 0.3 microns. It also features variable power control, which adjusts the power to optimum level for cleaning draperies, upholstery, and area rugs, as well as a 35-ft power cord.

The EC-T5180A also features Library Quietª technology, which reportedly makes them up to 15-percent quieter than comparable vacuums; a Rug/Floor selector switch that allows the user to turn off the agitator and easily move from carpeted areas to bare floors; an automatic nozzle height adjustment for hard-to-reach spaces; and full-time, on-board tools, including two extension wands, crevice tool, and upholstery brush.
