A new five-port industrial Ethernet switch, product number 758-500, is said to feature rugged packaging and protected circuitry and reportedly maintains superior performance, even under demanding industrial conditions. The switch is said to work reliably in hot and cold environments and can withstand a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F). It runs directly on d.c. power already available in control cabinets, eliminating the need for a.c. outlet transformers.
