The GX Series Garden Tractors from John Deere (Moline, IL, U.S.) feature improvements that the company says will provide value to homeowners and large property owners. The model GX255 is powered by a 20-hp, Kawasaki air-cooled engine. According to the company, power steering makes mowing around obstacles much easier and reduces operator fatigue.

All GX Series models now feature larger 24 x 12-12 rear tires to improve ground flotation and reduce the possibility of turf damage. The larger tires, the company says, also make for a smoother ride and improve operator comfort.

TwinTouch(TM) automatic foot controls are said to allow for easy and safe change of speed and direction. A 49-in wheelbase reportedly makes room to accommodate mower decks.
