A range of rugged, vandal-proof push-button switches have been designed to withstand hostile environments and abusive operation in such applications as vending machines. According to the supplier, tough, close-fitting bodies and actuators manufactured from high-quality stainless steel make it extremely difficult to invade the product or destroy the integrity of its installation. In addition, a low-profile, front-of-panel styling (less than 1.6 mm) and plain actuators present a rugged defense against environmental or vandal attack. The range includes snap-action and butt switching options and is available with a wide range of termination, including push-on, solder, and PCB alternatives. The components are approved by ENEC up to 16(4) A 250 V a.c. T85, and also by UL up to 16 A, 1/2 hp 125-250 V a.c.
