GE Consumer Products' Profile(TM) ovens offer Trivection(TM) technology, combining thermal, convection, and microwave energies. The unit is engineered to enable a combination of fast cooking with high-quality cooking results. The unit is said to speed roast a holiday turkey in half the usual cook time.

In addition to Trivection the ovens offer traditional cooking methods: baking, broiling, roasting, and true European convection. Additional modes include defrost, warm, proof, self-clean, and help.

The Precise Air(TM) convection system uses an innovative fan that reverses direction. This function is designed to optimize air and heat circulation.

The unit offers electronic controls with an Auto Recipe(TM) Conversion feature, to automatically adjusts standard recipe time and temperature for speedcook modes.

In addition, the Chef's Guide(TM) control function automatically convert traditional recipes. The user enters food type, time, and temperature. Once set, the system automatically directs the oven to apply the correct combination of energies to optimize cooking performance.

GE says testing shows speed modes allow foods to cook up to five times faster. The oven is designed to speed roast a turkey in half the time, speed bake breads in a third of the time, and cook casseroles in a quarter of the time. Potatoes speed cook five times faster than in a traditional oven.

GE Consumer Products enlisted Alton Brown, TV celebrity chef and author of I'm Just Here For The Food, to serve as a spokesperson for Trivection ovens.

"My favorite thing about Trivection is it balances three energies to maximize cooking performance," said Mr. Brown. "It's got brains, brawn and it's crazy about food."

"But cooking foods quickly was not our only goal," explained Leanne Dugan, general manager for GE Cooking Products. "We developed this oven...to produce the best possible food."

GE offers the technology under its Profile brand name in a single wall oven (with an estimated retail price of U.S. $2,349 - $2,599), a double wall oven (with an estimated retail price of U.S. $3699 - $3899), and a slide-in range (with an estimated retail price of U.S. $2799 - $2999).

GE also offers a single and a double wall oven with the technology under its GE Monogram brand name.
