The Modline 5 Infrared Thermometer was specifically developed to handle the harsh applications found in foundries, steel mills, furnaces, semiconductor, and other high-temperature manufacturing environments. Its outer body uses a stainless steel, NEMA-4 rated housing to protect against corrosion and humidity. Wiring is handled with a high-temperature cable and completely sealed electrical connectors to further improve reliability. Complete menu-driven setup can be accomplished through a rear panel keypad with backlit display or via RS-485 from the company's panel meter or any other RS-485 device. An optional Dirty Window Detector senses if dirt, water, or other contaminant build-up on the window of the sensor. A Total System Health Check capability can automatically verify that the sensor is performing within factory specifications.
