In addition to being maintenance-free, the company's new EZ3612CEE ventless washer/dryer combination and the EZ1612V vented combo have recently been rated Tier 4B, the Consortium for Energy Efficiency's highest rating for energy efficiency. The smaller EZ2512CEE, also a ventless combination washer/dryer, has been rated Tier 4A. The models are upgraded versions of the company's washer/dryer combinations, including the Energy-Star rated, EZ3600CEE, which was on the market for 5 years. These changes are said to represent significant improvements in design as well as energy efficiency and water consumption. The redesigned EZ3612CEE has a sleek new look, while retaining some of its previous features. ADA-approved for height and convenience, the appliance continues to operate on 115 V with a 14-lb capacity (1.92 cu ft) stainless steel tub and drum. The new design features approximately 30 improvements, including nine wash cycles and seven wash temperatures and an increased spin speed of 1,200 rpm, which allow for greater extraction of moisture from laundry with less drying time. The new model's water factor is improved from 10.5 to 4.5 gal per wash cycle. Another improvement is a redesigned valve system and more advanced electronic sensors to achieve precise water control.
