A new motor control brochure from Maxon Precision Motors, Inc. provides an overview of the company's motor control electronics and includes specs on both brush and brushless motor controllers. Amplifiers that control velocity or torque with current capabilities up to 10-A continuous, 30-A peak are described. Models include I/O capabilities and operate via tachometer, encoder, or I X R compensation feedback modes. Various models include a traditional analog interface or an RS-232 or CAN bus interface. Linear amplifiers are available for EMI-sensitive applications, as well as sinusoidal commutation for smooth rotation.
