A series of compressors for R134a, with a new electronic module enabling them to be powered directly from solar panels is available from the company. The new compressors are suited to any application where a traditional power source is not readily available, such as food preservation off the power grid. The new models are equipped with an electronic module. They can be connected to a photovoltaic panel without the use of batteries or any additional electronics. They can be set up to operate over a wide continuous voltage range of 9.6-31.5 V. A programming option will adapt for the voltage range of different solar power modules.
