The company's newest motion control chip, the PCL6025, is intended for use with stepper motors or with pulse/direction digital input servomotors. The PCL6025 comes in a 128-pin QFP, and supports two-axis motion controls using independent control or coordination control (linear or circular interpolation). Features include 6.5 Mpps output speed, choice of linear or S-curve accel/decal, positioning and speed changes on the fly, pre-buffers for the next motion control profile(s), automatic correction of operating speed, out-of-step detection, encoder inputs, four counters per axis, and five comparators per axis. Target applications for are precise X-Y stage of semiconductor manufacturing, inspection systems, medical analysis machines, scientific instruments, and biotechnical instruments.
