India’s Wipro releases super-green PC

Wipro Infotech, an India-based IT company, has announced the launch of its eco-friendly Wipro Greenware desktop PC. According to Wipro, the new PC is manufactured with materials completely free of hazardous chemicals such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and brominated flame retardants (BFRs). Wipro claims the Greenware PC is the first toxin-free PC in India and one of the very few in the world. The company notes it spent two years developing the technology to produce a PC free of PVCs and BFRs. Wipro has received recognition from Greenpeace for its efforts to produce green products.
