Hitachi Air Conditioning Systems has released its new Set-Free iZ series of VRF system and PACs. |
The new series is said to feature more energy savings thanks to the use of new refrigerant R410A, more flexible system design, and easier installation due to the adoption of communication systems via power supply wires.
The Set-Free iZ series has a cooling/heating average COP of 3.45 (45 kW = 16 hp type) by adopting a variety of energy saving and refrigerant circuit technologies. It has also adopted a newly developed high-efficiency scroll compressor for use with R410A and reduced the piping pressure loss by adopting the sub-cooling circuit in the refrigeration cycle.
In addition, by introducing the latest fan technology, additional energy savings have been realized. Further compactness has also been realized since the number of fans was reduced by adopting a newly developed two-blade Inverness fan and a high static pressure, bell-mouthed long duct. As a result, the 12-hp outdoor unit can be installed in the space of a conventional 10-hp outdoor unit.
Also, for the first time in the industry, wiring for indoor unit controls has been eliminated by transmitting control signals through power supply wires. All models can be installed with less labor due to the adoption of integrated outdoor units. The company has also reduced piping size and realized easier installation by minimizing the amount of refrigerant charge in order to cut down on installation costs.
