by Clint Stevens, China correspondent, APPLIANCE magazine Kelon has filed a patent infringement complaint against Haier and Xinfei, alleging design infringements of patents on one of its refrigerators.

The lawsuit states that both the 0+007 Series refrigerators made by Haier and the Sanxianyuan Series manufactured by Xinfei copy Kelon's patented Tianwangzuo Series refrigerators, which would constitute design patent infringement. Accordingly, Kelon claimed Haier and Xinfei should cease production of the infringing models immediately and pay compensation of RMB 10 million (U.S $1.2 million).
